Honestly, using the tables above is really the “old school” way of doing things. If you have a computer, you definately want to look at buying the Starry Night Pro 6.3 Astronomy Software. It makes it a breeze to plan your viewing session thanks to it’s large database of celestial objects. Simply specify your location, select the object you want to view, and set date and the time you’ll want to do your viewing. The software will tell you exactly where to look for it. This can be used for planets, nebulas, star clusters, etc. There’s literally thousands of objects in the database so you really get value for your money.
